Glen Banchor, Edge Of The Forest
Just sharing what was no more than a casual glance to the left at the end of a good walk. Not far from the car, with my mind full of thoughts and mental pictures of what I'd experienced through out the day. The afternoon light starting to fade and here in the glen, unlike the wild conditions on the mountain, there was no wind and the colours had taken the richness and depth that they seem to do as evening takes over. Then it was back along the track, round the corner to the car and a flask of hot steaming tea.

This is a beautiful nature shot but I also see a nice abstract quality to it if you look at it as more of a texture than a natural scene. Or maybe I should cut back on the coffee.
interesting composition of lines and textures
:-)
Ken and Obakesan: Thanks, it was the tapestry/texture of the vegetation that caused me to stop in my tracks. It was just wonderful.
It is the textures along with echoed patterns that caught me, as well—and I haven't even finished my first coffee. These moment of quiet connection with our surroundings sustain us, I believe, for our return to the "real world".
Some lovely vertical repetition there Colin!
Colin, do you mind if I add a link to your site on my blog?
Anita: Thanks, and of course I don't mind!
mcalisterium: Thanks, I guess we've both seen this sort of scene many, many times!
Strangely, the fence enhances this - lovely division of colour and texture.
